What are Priority Requests and how should they be used?
Some services on Tell A Bot are extremely popular and may sell out very quickly. As of the time of writing, services like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Venmo are frequently in very high demand (although the exact list changes over time depending on availability and market conditions).
When inventory reaches zero, some "smart" users may think that sending hundreds of API requests per second will help them grab the next available number for SMS verification faster. In reality, this behavior does not provide any advantage and only harms the platform and everyone else.
We actively monitor abusive automation and temporary block users who overload the system with spam requests.
So what is the correct way to get numbers for high-demand services?
The proper solution is to use Priority Requests.
How Priority Requests Work
A Priority Request allows you to reserve a place in the queue for a next number for specific service when it becomes available. You choose the markup you are willing to pay above the normal base price, and the system creates a request with the status "Awaiting MDN".
The request remains active for up to 30 minutes.
If a new number becomes available during this time, it is automatically assigned to the user with the highest bid rather than to users attempting to spam Tell A Bot platform.
I'm bidding 10% and still not getting any numbers
If multiple users are waiting for the same service, the system compares the markup percentages. The user willing to pay the highest markup receives the next available number first.
If your priority requests are not receiving numbers, this usually means that other users are offering higher markups for the same service.
Try increasing your markup percentage to improve your chances of receiving the next available number.
Whap happens if I don't get a number after 30 minutes?
If no number becomes available during the request lifetime, the request is canceled automatically and the reserved funds are released back to your balance.
Will I Be Charged for Reserving a Number?
No additional reservation fee is charged.
You only pay the amount you agreed to in your priority request, and you are charged only after you successfully receive SMS messages or OTP codes on the assigned number.
Can I Reuse a Number Obtained Through a Priority Request?
Yes. Numbers obtained through priority requests can later be reused normally.
If you want to reuse the same number again for SMS verification or to receive SMS later, you simply pay the standard reuse fee, which is currently 50 percent of the base price.
I Am an API User. How Can I Check the Request Status?
API users can monitor priority requests using the special "request_status" API command.
Additionally, when a number is successfully assigned, the system sends a "priority_request" event to your configured webhook URL so your software can react automatically.
Do You Have a Video Manual?
